For use in the networked environment, the integrated units have a 17" or 19" Samsung Class A LCD screen, a full 104 key keyboard with numeric pad and trackball or touchpad and an optional integrated KVM switch, all in a 1U unit, saving valuable rack space. The units are simply rack mounted via single or "one-man" installation slides. The 19" rack mounted KVM 1U drawer units support 32 ports per 1U, can be up to 40m away from the servers if required, have a Cat5 interface with USB or PS/2 dongles and, offer 128 bit SSL security for remote IP access. The new high-density IP Serial Console solutions provide a simple, secure common platform mixing servers, switches, hubs, routers and PABX in large installations, giving unparalleled ease of control. Secure remote IP access using SSH or telnet clients is a standard feature; a fail safe or redundant dial up modem connection gives security and SSH v2 encryption is standard.
