These high end 16 and 32-port Multi-User Matrix Cat 6 KVM switches have many additional benefits when compared to previous KVM switch platforms. The key benefit being simultaneous access that allows up to one local, one remote and two IP users on four different KVM ports at any one time. Remote access being a maximum distance of 300m away from the KVM ports. Using either PS/2, USB or USB DVI dongles at the server end of the installation provides a cost effective method of matching the server configuration, allowing legacy servers to be migrated without replacing switch hardware.
The four-user console allows two IP users to work securely via a remote keyboard, monitor and mouse using 128 bit secure IP access across the web. The plug and play technology provides seamless, secure access over IP via a web browser, allowing control down to bios level; no software is installed on the servers or remote PCs. 8 levels of cascade can be achieved offering control of up to 256 servers from a single top level IP switch.
The OSD user interface offers many enhanced features for switch administration and user management, including the capability to define Super Users who can create custom user profiles / access rights for specific KVM ports. The OSD supports configurable hotkey access and has English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Japanese and Simplified Chinese multilingual interface.
